IELTS is an English Language Proficiency test that is required to be taken by non-native students for study in countries where the medium of instruction is English. Among the popular study destinations IELTS is accepted by universities in UK, Australia, New Zealand and Canada

The Test Format

There are four sub-tests, or modules, to the IELTS test: Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking. 
Usually  Reading Writing and Listening will on the same day and Speaking will be conducted on the test day or you may ask to attend the Speaking Next day, Day and time of Speaking will be notified to you after three other sessions.

Listening:

This will be your first section in IELTS. You have develop the habit listening, thinking and writing at the same time you have to answer 40 question in 30 min in the question paper 10 min extra time will be provided to transfer all your response to answer sheet.

Reading:
This will be your second section  and you have to read 3 academic related passages in 60 min and you have to answer 39 question and you will not be given any extra time to transfer you response from question paper to answer sheet. Be quick just go to question directly, read the question and skim for the answer and select best one of you choice..

Writing :

This will be your third section during IELTS. You will be given 2 topic. One will be Data analysis you have to interpret the data or a given graph and explain the things and second will be a general issue; in which you have to take you own decision and justify with examples and experience....

Listening

This secession usually will be have next day or you will be intimated the test date and timing after your first three sections.
The listening includes three level basically, it will be around 12 to 18 mins. During first 5 to 8 minute about your introduction and general interests and all. After you will given a topic a you will be having 1 min to prepare on that topic and 2 min to respond. Finally genera discussion on some topic for 5 to 8 min. I had a very good experience during listening session....
